It is estimated that Americans spend an average of 22 hours a day indoors or in vehicles - it's no wonder that we no longer recognize the deep interconnections between us and local nature! Please join Wild Ones Charlotte Piedmont for an educational presentation by published author, professor, and conservationist Dr. Sara Gagne; we'll explore the urban ecosystem of which you are a part, and also learn how reconnecting with nature where you live can improve both the planet's well being and your own.

If you're interested, you can also explore some of Dr. Gagne's work:

This event will include instruction from Roots for Rivers personnel on how to maintain the site, and some light refreshments will be provided (under our tents to escape the sun!)

Advance registration is required in order to participate so Roots for Rivers may provide volunteers with the appropriate number of tools. Please check back to register when the link becomes available.

Forgot to register? You may not be able to take part in the maintenance, but we'd still love for you to come out, say hello, and see what we're up to!
