Join experts from Bat Conservation International to explore how native plants, healthy insect populations, and thoughtful landscape design can help support bats. Learn about the ecological role of bats and discover practical ways to create habitat for North America's night flyers right in your own backyard.

Join Wild Ones, City of Charlotte Landscape Management, and Constructive Plant Rescue for a fun day creating pollinator habitat at TAG (Tuckaseegee Arboretum & Gardens) with Rescused Native Plant (how cool is that?!?). 

We will be creating a shady woodland garden space for pollinators, wildlife, and people to enjoy at TAG. The garden will include many garden elements like a maintenance path and wattle fence, planting, mulching, and other general gardening tasks. Tools will be provided but bring your own gloves.

Visit the Wild Ones Charlotte Piedmont tent at Charlotte Wildlife Stewards Kids in Nature Day (KIND). This is a free, fun-filled, hands-on adventure where kids and families get up close with nature! Activities include meeting animal ambassadors, creating art from things found only in nature, a guided nature hike, exploring native plants and animals, and more. NO REGISTRATION REQUIRED. 

In Reedy Creek Park, drive to the end of the road and turn left. Follow the signs to Shelter 4.
